As an academic, I have significant accomplishments in research, teaching & learning, and leadership & management, which are summarised below and outlined in my CV:

• Extensive leadership and management experience as the Head of Mechanical Engineering and Design (2020 – 2022) and currently head of Engineering and Mathematics, managing over 50 academic staff in the School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment.

• Significant international recognition with prizes and awards nationally and globally.

• Over 120 papers published in journals and international conferences, one patent granted, and two books.

• Since 2010, I've submitted more than 50 grant applications worth a total more than £15 million.

• Developed and taught mechanical engineering modules with excellent feedback from students and peers.

• Director of Postgraduate Research at the Faculty of Engineering and Environment from 2018 to 2020, with responsibility for 300+ PhD projects, including budget, induction, management, assessment, and graduation.
